Mobile app reseller: which offer to choose?

Today, we will see what are the different reseller offers that GoodBarber proposes and we will tell you which offer to choose depending on your profile and the type of customers you want to target. You will then have all the information you need to decide when you create your reseller agency with GoodBarber ;)

For GoodBarber resellers, we have set up 2 different subscriptions: the "content" reseller subscription and the "content+eCommerce" reseller subscription.

Content reseller subscription

The content reseller subscription allows you to create an unlimited number of content management apps. These apps allow you to manage any type of content: articles, photos, videos, podcasts, events, points of interest on a map, live audio and video, etc. For this kind of app, GoodBarber offers many extensions that allow you to manage and animate a community of users, monetize your customer's app with ads or subscriptions, and connect the GoodBarber app to external services with public APIs or tools like Zapier and Make. This subscription costs $240 per month or $2400 for a yearly subscription (which is equivalent to $200 per month). A very attractive price when you know that you can create an unlimited number of apps! Such a subscription can therefore be easily paid back.
Moreover, most of the extensions are free for resellers. However, some of them are not free. Additional costs for content management apps are listed here .

Who is this subscription for?

The "content" reseller subscription will interest resellers who want to create only content management apps for their customers, leaving aside eCommerce apps, which allow the online sale of physical products (food, clothes, flowers, decoration, furniture, perfumes, etc).

If you are starting your app creation and sale activity, you can choose the monthly payment to amortize your investment more easily and not spend too much money at once with an annual payment.

If, on the other hand, you are part of an already structured agency with enough funds, or if you have obtained financing, the annual subscription will suit you perfectly: you commit yourself for a whole year, and you won't hear about money for 12 months ;) This gives you a year to create projects, publish them on behalf of your clients and make your subscription profitable.

Of course, you can start with a monthly subscription. If after a few months, you want to upgrade to an annual subscription, just contact support or a reseller account manager. Your request will be processed as soon as possible and you will be switched to an annual offer. In addition, we regularly offer discounts to facilitate the transition from a monthly offer to an annual subscription! :) 

Content + eCommerce reseller subscription

The "content + eCommerce" reseller subscription allows you to create an unlimited number of content management apps AND eCommerce apps. This is the most complete reseller program because it allows you to create both major types of apps available on GoodBarber. With this subscription, you can target any type of customer: customers interested in content management apps (Blog/Magazine, events, travel guide, school, online courses, etc) and customers interested in selling physical products online (restaurant/delivery, fast food, grocery store, online clothing store, home decor store, etc). With GoodBarber, you can meet 80 to 90% of the demands of the app market. Our platform gives you the flexibility to respond to customer demand by delivering an app quickly, for a price that defies all competition. With GoodBarber, you put in the hands of your customer an app with a memorable and impeccable design, thanks to our Design System. This is a set of design rules that ensures your app is consistent and provides an optimal user experience.

Like content management apps, eCommerce apps have their own extensions like local delivery, click & collect, payment gateways, etc. (see extensions )

Who is this subscription for?

The "content + eCommerce" reseller subscription is the most complete one. It will interest all resellers who want to target content publishers and eCommerce customers.

If you want to create eCommerce apps, you must choose this subscription. It will also give you the ability to create content management apps.

If you are just starting to create and sell apps for customers, you can start with a "content" reseller subscription at 240€ per month. Later on, if you want to target eCommerce customers or if you have requests from such customers for apps, you can change your subscription. Simply contact support or a reseller account manager. Your request will be processed as soon as possible and your subscription will be modified accordingly. In addition, we regularly offer discounts to facilitate the transition from a "content" offer to a "content + eCommerce" reseller subscription! :)

To sum up, whether you have a "content" reseller subscription or a "content + eCommerce" reseller subscription, the possibilities are the same: unlimited app creation, 3 publishing platforms per app, etc. The only difference is the type of apps you can create: with the "content" reseller subscription, only content management apps. With the "content + eCommerce" reseller subscription, content management apps, AND eCommerce apps.

This is a question every reseller asks. Remember, with GoodBarber, you can create two main types of apps: a content management app or an eCommerce app. It is not possible to combine the two types of apps. The category must be chosen at the time of project creation from the reseller dashboard.

To answer this question, it all depends on the customer's request.

If the customer wants to sell online, the "eCommerce" category must be chosen. Be careful though, eCommerce apps are used for online sales of physical products only: food, clothes, decoration, perfumes, etc. It is not possible to sell services with an eCommerce app.

If the customer wants an app to manage content (events, for example) and advertise in his app, or sell subscriptions, he should be directed to a content management app. Then, you can go to the extension store to see what options you can enable on your client's app to meet their needs.

What if your client wants both? For example, a sports coach who wants a content management app with subscriptions and the ability to sell sports accessories. Here's a tip: take advantage of the reseller subscription to create two projects for your client. A content management app to publish on the Android and iOS stores and in addition, an eCommerce project for selling accessories to publish on the web only. On the content app, use a "click-to" section to fill in the link to the eCommerce PWA. This way, users will be able to download the content app from the Stores and, if they wish, buy accessories on your client's eCommerce PWA, whose link will be available on the main app. With GoodBarber, you always have a solution to satisfy your customer's expectations ;)
